World's second most beautiful island sees 30% surge in foreign tourists during Lunar New Year

Phu Quoc, ranked as the world's second most beautiful island, received 74,833 visitors from abroad over the nine days of Tet holiday, showing a year-on-year rise of 30.2%.
Approximately 40% of the island's overall visitors were foreign tourists during the 9-day holiday, which came to a close on Sunday, based on figures from Kien Giang Province's tourism department.
In total, Phu Quoc received 281,000 visitors, a 27% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to booking platform Mustgo data, 90% of the island's accommodations are fully booked, with the majority of the reservations made for 4-star and 5-star hotels.
Phu Quoc International Airport accommodated over 1,000 flights, with numerous flights carrying international passengers.
Most flights to Phu Quoc Island come from countries and cities including Taiwan, South Korea, mainland China, Kazakhstan, Poland, Mongolia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
